The Rud'Jali Desert 
is dangerous to travellers, which is why many merchants opt to cross it the
under the protection of a caravan.  There is a valley northwest of Zin  which is a popular
spot for caravans to park and rest before or after traversing the desert. 

It is currently occupied by a band of refugees from the Dunn Hurr village
of Rogonia.
