Southeast of Ralnoth, between the forest and mountains, is an ancient
monument. It consists of mounds -- several concentric circles with a flat
area in the center, with four long mounds radiating away from the center at
right angles. The presense of a standing stone aligned with sunrise on the
summer solstice at the tip of the far eastern mound, as well as the shape,
strongly suggests that the complex is a site dedicated to a fire or solar
deity.

The mound system is believed to have been made by the ancestors of modern
giants, and the massive undead that have been seen wandering the area would
seem to confirm that theory. However, it is nominally under the
jurisdiction of Ralnoth, and bold woodsmen occasionally log the old trees
at the fringes of the Celestial Circle.
