Subject: Hostility, Bitterness, and the Ignore feature.

It has come to my attention that there has been a good deal of hostility
between a number of players of late.  First, I would like to suggest liberal
usage of the ignore feature to mitigate this often escalating bickering
before it gets to a point where admins are asked to get involved.  It would
save all of us a lot of time and trouble.

It is extremely unlikely that I will give any serious consideration to
accusations of harassment in cases where the 'harassed' party has not made an
attempt to ignore the 'harassing' party.  I find that in these cases, there
is usally an exchange of hostility leading up to a point where one person
goes 'too far' and the other crys foul.  Ignore early, ignore often.

Having said this, please be advised:  Any attempt to bypass the use of the
game's ignore functionality will not be taken lightly.  If you find yourself
ignored by someone, you are expected to respect the spirit of the ignore and
not try to get around it by using the email bot, a multi, or by using another
player as a proxy.

Attempts to use the email bot to circumvent ignore will result in the loss of
your ability to use the email bot.  Further attempts to bypass ignore will
result in increasingly heavy-handed administrative response as we see fit.

It is our intention for this game to be a place where people can come hang
out with friends and have a good time.  When people go out of their way to
spread hate, it interferes with others' ability to do that.

I am serious about this.  Consider yourselves warned.
