Subject: Druid Class Alpha Test

The first pass of the new Druid class is now available for test. I've set
up a separate server for this, and testers will be able to log in to test
things out.  I'll be copying the pfiles by hand, so there's probably only
going to be a handful of testers.  I'm also going to be deleting people who
don't do anything, don't give useful feedback, or don't know how to test.

If you'd like to be a tester on the test port, you'll be expected to do the
following:

1) Actually learn and use druid skills.  I want you to learn how the skills
function and use them to do stuff you'd normally do.  

2) Actually find bugs and problems with the skills.  If something seems
overpowered, say something.  If something seems underpowered or useless,
say something.

3) Die a lot.  Testing isn't about staying alive, it's about figuring out
how things work and pushing them to the edge.  If you're not dying, you're
probably not learning much.

4) Play a noob and mid-level character.  The stuff in the middle is as
important as the stuff at the top.


General rules:

- Mudmail all druids bugs, problems, and notes to dentin on the test port.
Do not mail me on the main port with druid bugs, problems, or notes.

- Don't bother trying to run high end equipment or figure out quests you
can't figure out on the main port.  The test port is about testing the
druid class, not about testing areas or equipment.

- Don't bother actually running exp unless you're testing how druids do it,
or how druids work in exp groups.  If you actually need druid levels to
test something, send me mudmail and I'll set your levels and give you
practices. You don't need to run exp.

- What happens on test port stays on test port.  If you leak information to
other players, whether through your clan, private channels, or skype,
you'll be at risk of getting permanently kicked from the test port.

- Nobody else comes to the test port.  If you tell others where it is or
how to log in, you will be permanently kicked from the test port.


If you understand all the above, and you agree with it, and you'd still
like to test, please send me a mudmail and a list of between 1 and five
characters from your account that you'd like transferred to the test port. 
I'll do some research, and if everything looks good I'll set you up on the
test port.
