There has been a lot of confusion regarding alignment.  The way it works
internally is complicated, and given my past experience, not worth
explaining here.

With that in mind, all you need to know is that the game is setup so that
in the  long run (a time period on the order of weeks and months,) a
maximum of 15% of the playerbase can be good, and a maximum of 15% can be
evil.   That's it.

If you want to be one of those 15%, then you have to either work harder
than other people, or convince other people that it's not worth being your
alignment so that it stays below 15%.  Nothing more, nothing less.  This is
no different than it has been for the past ten years.

Understand that if I wanted to get rid of alignment, id simply turn it off
and be done with it.  Since I havent done that, assume business as usual
and dont panic.
