Subject: unleveling for those who aren't famelocked

Heya, most players dont know about this   feature, and i only found out
about it using help random a year ago. For those who dont know it, help
unlevel can be quite interesting for you. I'll explain it for you anyways.
If you are fame-locked, you can use the level remove command to unlevel a

class to recover spent fame. That doesnt sound to bad, but you dont get the
spent xp on that level back. So, what about allowing players who arent
famelocked to unlevel? It might be useful in situations where someone
notices if he/she is already higher level, e.g. around my level range or
higher, that his class setup isnt that good. However, rearranging classes
at such a level takes billions and billions of xp. Maybe players who have
their 5th class at 18 to 20 want to be a 5th druid, but don't feel like
putting 5bil xp into these 3 druid levels?


Imagine we got the following situation. The player is level 36 mage, level
33 necro, and level 31 warrior. He hardly uses necro skills to do damage,
no he relays on mage/warrior skills in most cases. Leveling your third
class above 31 costs 1.5bil - 30 micros of 49mil and 1 of 30mil. If this
player happens to be fame-locked, he can just say 'screw necro, i don't
feel like spending 3bil xp just to push up warrior to my secondary class' -
he unlevels necro twice, and is done. Now he can level up warrior for
310mil to 32, and for another 420mil to 33 - he would have to spent way
less experience. If this player wouldnt be fame-locked, he had to level
warrior. In my opinion, everyone should be able to unlevel whenever he
wants. A player who was just to lazy and killed mostly easy stuff and who
is fame-locked by now could just unlevel, while the player who ran solo a
lot and got a ton of fame is forced to level 2 times. So the player who put
effort in faming and soloing cant do something the lazy grouping player can
do.  If you added that, you should prevent newbies from unleveling til they
reach a certain level though. You also had to add something so players just
dont level their 6th class up to 1, get 5 cheap pracs, then unlevel it,
level it again and get another 5 cheap pracs. I would like to  hear your
opinions on  that, especially Dentins opinion. I don't know how much of a
change it would be in the code, but if it doesn't take you much effort,
please consider adding that feature. -alma
