either turn then into gems or inlay them onto other crafted items. If
you type lapidary list minerals, you will see a list of everything you
have mined that will give stats if used in crafting.

crafting skill and your total levels as a player I think.

many, but a certain level of mastercraft items is required for
advancing on some guilds. For others it's just doing a lot of jobs. And

a lot of jobs to advance beyond that.

woodcraft. my first and fastest mastercrafts were when i made mugs and
cups of mithril or whatever, for the first level in smith anyways. once
i got mastercraft and could advance from there, it was easier to get
them making other items like for jobs or items that might be of use
like grips and crossguards.

woodcraft until sharp runs out. then switch to smithing. try to throw
other activites in that will get you prof points like some of the druid
carving skills, or ... maybe others will have other suggestions of
class specific activities that net you prof points as well. gathering,
foraging, etc can sometimes. starting fires with those woodcraft items
you made. lol
