There is no dedicated alchemist class, but there are variety of brewing
skills to learn. Mages can brew potions. Thieves can brew poisons and
antidotes. Druids can brew tonics and salves. Clerics can prepare
unguents.

Spell components for brewing are also useful for a handful of other
purposes, such as making the ink for scribing scrolls, building grenades
and augmenting raised undead with improved elemental resistances.
