The trade command is a safe and secure way to transfer gold and objects in
game. It is context based, similar to when you write on a board or set an
alias.
To start a trade, simply type "trade <target>". To accept a trade, simply
type "trade accept". This will put you into a trade context with the other
party, where you can offer gold and goods for exchange. If you wish to deny
a trade request, type "trade deny".
Once you begin a trade, the major commands are:
list - See a current list of the gold and objects being offered in your
trade by both parties. If followed by an argument, it will show
you the identify information on a specific object.
offer - Offer an object or gold for trade. The object will be taken
out of your inventory and put in the trade list until either
the trade is accepted or abandoned.
withdraw - Withdraw your offer of an object or amount of gold, and place
it back in your inventory.
accept - This will tell the other player that you are ready to accept
the trade. If the other player has already accepted, it will
transfer the gold and objects, and complete the trade.
Remember, both parties must accept the trade before it completes.
Any objects and gold existing in a trade context are safe from any kind
of major catastrophe, including crashes, bugs, flaky traders, and even
Vivi.
