Keywords are: 'bots botting robots' Running a bot is a bad idea. It's such a bad idea that there's an entire section in the 'rules' command. You MUST be responsible for your bot as described in the rules. Ignorance is no excuse. Make sure to read the entire section on bots with the 'rules' command before running your bot. The guidelines listed below are NOT the full rule set. Here are some basic guidelines: 1) Your bot must not automatically log back in. If we boot it, we want it gone, which means it will piss us off to see it automatically log back in. If your bot continually reconnects, you will be sitebanned until your bot is fixed. 2) Your bot must not spam commands full tilt. Not only is this stupid, it also eats up our valuable CPU time. This means that your bot must be context and trigger sensitive. The bot should only do something if it needs to do something. It should not just run through the same list of commands over and over, in the hopes that something will get done. 3) You may not run any kind of bot in any newbie areas below level ten. This includes heal bots in low level recalls and idle bots at mobs. 4) You may not bot in any recall site or regeneration room. Bots are incredibly spammy and irritating. Don't run them in public places. 5) You may not run a bot in a group. This includes trigger bots that perform actions at the request of another player. Also, remember that your bot should be about as smart as you when it comes to playing. Dangers occur, unexpected events happen. If your bot cannot deal with a reasonable event and dies as a result, you will not be reimbursed. Note also that the game automatically penalizes most bots. You may find that your bot is losing more skills than it is gaining, and it may be losing experience as well as alignment or other stats. Watch your bot carefully! See the 'rules' command for more information.
