Certain creatures, monstrous spiders in particular, can expel sticky
webbing in combat. While not a debilitating hindrance, the webs lower
the target's dexterity. Webbed creatures also have a chance of tripping
and falling prone when they try to flee. 

The webs do not last long. Damaging protective spells such as fire
shield, ice shield and thorn armor will destroy them before they have
a chance to stick. Catching on fire will burn up webs. You can jump to
attempt to break the webbing, provided you are strong enough. The
warrior skill 'indomitable will' easily removes webbing. High strength
will help you resist being webbed.
