noleave

The 'noleave' command is primarily used by group leaders to keep large
groups together.  When noleave is turned on, you will try not to leave
behind group members who are following you.  This usually includes slower
or weaker members, as well as those who are in battle.

Note that if your group has subleaders, they may need to turn on
noleave as well - otherwise their followers may be left behind.

Noleave only affects walking from room to room.  Flee, retreat, and all
other commands of that nature will still work as expected.  There will
also be obscure situations where noleave does not work, but in general it
can greatly help keep a group together.
