Chaos is something set up by the gods.  When a chaos is in action, the
entire mud becomes a player killing zone, and the goal is to be the last
one alive.  Once a player is killed in chaos, they may not log back in
until after the chaos is over.  There may be several winners, each of which
receive prizes.

Usually, playerfiles are backed up before a chaos and restored afterwards,
to prevent characters from losing experience or equipment.
