A reboot is when the mud is shut down and restarted.  This is usually done
to install new code, fix bugs, and clear out memory.  It takes approximately
15 seconds, after which time you can log back in and play again.

A reset usually refers to when an area resets or repops.  In some areas,
such as the mud schools, repops may occur in only a few minutes, while in
most other areas it happens every half hour or hour.  In some areas, it
happens only infrequently, sometimes as little as only once per day.

There are also some areas where repop will not occur so long as a player
remains in the area.  You can check to see if you are in an area like
this with the 'where' command.
