Spam is defined as stupid text that you really didn't need to know, that
scrolls by on your screen so fast that you can't see anything else.  Spam
sucks.

On a brighter note, there is a 'spam' command that helps to cut out various
kinds of spam.  Several of the spam options are very useful in large groups.
Below are the kinds of spam filter available:

Command        - description
-------------------------------------------------------
spam swear     - Words that are generically considered cuss words will
                 not show up in any channel communications you receive
                 from other players.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam fighting  - your dodges, parries, and misses directly related to your
                 battle are gagged.  Those of others are not.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam gfighting - external dodges, parries, and misses gagged.  You will
                 never see those lines while fighting in groups, unless
                 they directly affect you.  Good for any size group.
                 Default:  enabled.
spam damage    - cuts out all damage messages except damage done to other
                 players, and the damage you do.  Good for large groups.
                 Default:  not enabled.

spam getput    - cuts out messages when players get or put items into
                 containers they are carrying.
                 Default:  enabled.
spam wear      - cuts out messages when players wear or remove items.
                 Default:  enabled.

spam minions   - removes ground strings and group display of minions.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam psneak    - cuts messages when players enter or leave a room.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam msneak    - cuts messages when non-players enter or leave a room.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam socials   - cuts out social sends not specifically targeting you.
                 Default:  not enabled.

spam cast      - cuts most spellcasting words uttered by non-group members.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam gcast     - cuts most spellcasting words uttered by group members.
                 Default:  enabled.
spam misc      - cuts a few other miscellaneous sends not covered above.
                 Default:  not enabled.
spam extreme   - removes more spell spam, wake/sleep, other stuff.
                 Default:  not enabled.

spam prob <number> - allow a percentage of spam from the cast, group
                     cast and misc categories to be shown.

spam off           - you see everything.  No filtering.
spam all           - turns on all spam switches.  Full filtering.
