Membership Requirments:

2) get an invitation from the clan elder
3) Pass a quest few would even dream of today

Elder: Roan

History:
Clan Deep was the very first clan on the mud.  Formed by the joining of
only the greatest players on the mud, they were as devious as they were 
powerful.  Often they would trap newbies in town offering no way out except
death at the hands of a Very powerful creature.  As well as trapping
people inside town they would set up ambushing creatures to kill others
on well used paths.  They would also move the trainers and guildmasters to 
the far corners of the world so few could find them.  They were a clan
the likes of which has never been seen again.  Much the the delight of
all newbies.

A footnote has been written in red ink:
The rise and fall of clan Deep, as well as its merging with other
clans, is worth of a book in and of itself.  Though I do not know the
details well enough to post an outline here, parts of it are quite
amusing and worth investigating.
