Having been driven out of their homes, the svirfneblin living beneath the
island of Archais have built a stronghold designed to protect them.
However, the forces that have taken over and demolished their old city
continue to threaten them. The svirfneblin are therefore living in a state
of warfare and under constant threat of attack. Penetrating the old,
destroyed civilization and eradicating the evil which has invaded it is the
only way the svirfneblin will find peace.
