Item description:

It is a bundle of wooden rods bound about an ax.  The blade of axe projects
out of the top of the bundle.  A bit of the ax handle pokes out from under
the bundle, allowing one to grip and wield it.  A black coiled snake has been
painted on each side of the ax blade.
