Item description:

This massive breastplate has been created from deathstone, a stone with
powerful properties which drains some of the user's life force
to power itself.  The stone is dark in color, almost to the point of
absorbing light, and is said to be a stone which can only be found on the
plane of nightmares.  The edges around the breastplate have been carved
with runes which will provide the user with some boost to melee attacks 
and a few other runes which drain the life force of the user in exchange
for  that boost in power.
