Item description:

Finely wrought steel cuisses lock together to protect the thigh and knees
of the wearer. Hanging from the front of the cuisses is strip of mail, with
steel plates riveted over top. These serve to protect the lower legs
without enclosing them entirely, and are best worn with long boots.
