  The scale has been hacked off a powerful wyrm.  It feels slightly warm 
to the touch and shows no hint of decay.  An amber tattoo of eight arrows 
radiates from the middle of the scale in all directions: the symbol of 
chaos.  An unwholesome power radiates from the tattoo, filling your mind
with thoughts of death and violence.
