  The scale has been hacked off a powerful wyrm.  It feels slightly warm 
to the touch and shows no hint of decay.  A glowing red tattoo of eight 
arrows radiates from the middle of the scale in all directions: the symbol 
of chaos.  An unwholesome power radiates from the tattoo, filling your mind
with thoughts of death and violence.
