An irregularly shaped badge of magical substance that is really no substance
at all seems to dangle from a black silk cord.  Staring with concentration at
the object, it suddenly pulls you within itself, coiling long fingers of
light and greyness, and deep, dark shadows about your face, caressing you
with the ideas and thoughts, and feelings they invoke.  For a moment, light
and darkness struggle between themselves, begging your audience.  In the next
instant, they reside together within your soul.
