Item description:

A pair of polished steel plates that are designed to protect the lower leg
in battle. Each is constructed from half inch thick steel and shaped in a
curve to wrap around the wearer's leg, securing at the rear with three sets
of strap and buckle fixings. The edges of the steel has been rolled to
avoid digging into the skin and the  rear of the curved plates are lined
with half an inch of purple felt which serves to absorb some of the impact
from direct blows. The front face is covered with dome shaped studs to
further reinforce the piece, and these studs have been dusted with crushed
red and blue crystal and arranged in a series of curling parallel lines as
an attempt at aesthetic flair, giving the impression that this piece of
armor could be equally at home as part of a palatial ceremony as it would
be on the battlefield.
