Item description:

This dagger has a long steel blade that curves slightly forward at the tip.
 The bottom one-third of the blade's edge is serrated.  The dagger sports a
flat circular guard, attached to which is a small hourglass made of lead
crystal and filled with white sand.  The hourglass is flanked by two wooden
dowls.  Either can serve as the dagger's grip.  The hourglass has a metal
crossbar through the middle of it, which has a hole in it to allow the sand
therein to flow freely.  The hourglass turns on the bar and can be flipped
over while remaining attached.
