A small book is filled with a sorceror's handwritten notes.

Detailed in the book is an experiment in which a 'purple stone that
radiates evil' was set into the guard of a blade forged from pitch black
metal. The resulting blade existed on multiple planes simultaneously,
making it capable of striking etheric creatures. However, the weapon began
to float under its own power, and the weapon began to radiate a field of
evil even greater than the stone.
