Item description:

This is a coif made of interlinking iron chains.  Rather than forming a
complete hood like most coifs, this one has solid pieces molded around the
ears so as not to cover them.  This solid iron molding flairs out from the
head when the coif is worn, maintaining a wide dome shape and looking
somewhat like a cobra's hood.  It is even painted light brown like a cobra.
