Item description:

Made entirely of some unknown crystal like substance, this hook is
about a pace in length, and the loop of the weapon is spiked with small
right-angle tines that stick in all different directions.  The part
leading up to the point of the hook is not round, but rather has many
flat, planed surfaces leading down into it. The handle has a guard and
is wrapped in a tight rough black leather that is easy to grip.
