Even with the most powerful detection magic, the details of these gauntlets
are difficult to make out.  The diaphanous gauntlets look like heavy metal
armor, with long cuffs, reinforcement on the back of the hand, and
articulated plate fingers.  However, they don't feel like metal at
all--they are very soft, almost spongy.
