Item description:

Upon initial inspection this appears to be a simple wooden spear shaft
which should be attached to a blade but instead has nothing at the end.
Near where the blade should be a band of pitch black metal has been placed
on the shaft as if it was meant to hold the blade and spear shaft together.
On the band strange runes and symbols have been engraved which absorb the
light and cast strange shadows near the end of the shaft where the blade
should've been placed. The wooden spear shaft is plain and has only a 
simple piece of leather tightly wrapped around one part providing an easy
grip.
