Item description:

This rope-like device appears to be made from blue light. It has very
little mass but a great deal of energy, forcing those that wield it or even
just carry it to exert considerable effort. It can be wrapped tightly
around one hand and carried in a loose coil in the other, allowing a
skilled person to lash out with it like a whip and then quickly re-coil it
for another blow. This allows the wielder to keep some distance from his
opponent.
