Item description:

A solid oak shaft measuring two and a half feet in length is topped with a
six inch cylindrical head of blackened steel.  The handle has been carved
with a spiral pattern and at the base it has been wrapped with leather to
improve the grip.  On the pommel a small yellow green gemstone has been set
into a recessed mounting. Elliptical in shape and with a domed surface, its
yellow green appearance is detailed with a milky white band that runs
through it at the centre, creating a striking resemblance to a cat's eye. 
When viewed in candle light the colour of the gem shimmers and changes to a
deep pinkish purple.
