This mask is supposed to protect you from pathogens.  It covers the mouth
and nose, but not other vectors of infection like your eyes or ears.  The
cloth is thick enough to restrict oxygen flow yet so flimsy that you can
smell your own farts.  So, who knows what this mask is really designed to
do?  Maybe you need one with a higher thread count.
