This is a stout leather gauntlet with a well-forged metal weights sewn into
it over the knuckles.  It is loose and large enough to be worn over an
ordinary glove.  One would use it to blocks blows with the back of your
protected hand, a dangerous but constitent means of avoiding damage if one
is well-practiced with it.
