Item description:

Its a stout piece of wood, of even size and fairly straight, with
several multicoloured feathers attached to one end via a long leather
cord.  It seems to signify rank of some sort. Though it is solid enough
to make a good weapon, it is a little too big for you.  It would be a
tad unwieldy until you got used to it.
