This square plate bears a dozen small heaps of molded, fermented rice. A
thin slice of seafood, ranging from tuna to octopus to eel to salmon, has
been placed on top of each one, and secured with a narrow band of seaweed
paper, also called nori. It comes with side of thiny sliced pickled ginger
root.
