Item description:

A huge translucent crystal has been knapped to form the head of this
imposing weapon, with runes carved into its edge, and swirling vine and
leaf designs coiling towards the wooden haft. The haft itself is around 4
feet long, with rough leather wrapped up its length to add extra grip for
the wielder, and is capped at the bottom of the grip with a ball of aged
yellowing ivory.  The axe-head glows with more than simple crystalline
luminescence, the runes seeming to capture the ambient light, and suffuse
the blades edge, rendering it blurry and indistinct.
