A large clear gemstone with a subtle pinkish red hue to it. It is one of a
handful of similar stones that were formed in the belly of a great and
furious salamander that made its lair on an island in the southern ocean
many years ago. When the beast was finally slain and its belly ripped open,
thirteen rubies were taken from its innards It is said that when the gem is
held up to the dying light of a sunset the image of a dancing salamander
can be clearly seen coming from within.
