Item description:

This shield consists of a rim of matte black metal inscribed with numerous
runes that spell out seemingly nonsensical phrases in Demoniac. The face of
the shield is made from chunks of purple stone held in place by an uneven
lattice of the same matte black metal. In the center of the shield is a
boss, with a handle attached to the back, also of matte black metal.
