These boots have been fashioned from a scaly midnight black hide. A small
amount of something slimy seems to cling to them no matter what they come
into contact with, which is likely responsible for the mild but unique odor
they give off. The smell, while not overly pleasant, seems to have a
sharpening effect on the mind.
