The chunk of stone is an ashen black color, with streaks of orange and red.
The rock is rather porous and lightweight, and leaves stains of black soot on
anything it touches. It is uncomfortably hot to the touch. Legend has it that
in the days of old, when the gods struggled amongst themselves for
domination, Shadowfax cast his purging fires over the land, burning all to
ash. By some fluke, a few very rare stones absorbed and held a spark of the
fire god's power, and remain burning to this very day.
