It looks like someone took a perfectly good skeleton, turned its bones
soft, then squished it into a tightly packed ball and rehardened the
bones. You can't even really tell what kind of creature the bones came
from, other than they seem natural and not artificially constructed. 
They also have that faint smell of having not been fully cleaned.
