This small book has covers made from slabs of polished bone, probably cut
from the shoulder blades of a large animal. Drawn upon the half-dozen thick
parchment pages are diagrams of techniques for carving and manipulating
bones into useful items. The text uses many woodcrafting terms, and
references a previous volume about harvesting bone, assuming the reader is
familiar with both.
