This simple journal is homemade out of thick cardboard for the cover and
plain paper inside.  The outside is decorated with random words and pictures
and the journal is tied closed with a piece of leather that is looped through
the edges of the front and back covers.  It's a substantial and sturdy
journal though and seems to be quite full.  It appears to be a woman's
journal.  Although it's not polite to read through other people's journals,
it might give some interesting insight into the woman who owns it.  Also, the
curiosity is nearly overwhelming. 

Perusing the pages of Triste's journal, the writing is mostly poetry and some
prose.  Most of the writing is abstract and it may even seem like words were
randomly thrown together to form phrases and sentences.  To Triste though,
these pages hold meaning and define who she is.  The pages are not in any
particular order, but have been bound together to form the journal after they
were written.  A critical study of these pages could be very enlightening and
rewarding.
