Item description:

This single-edged, slightly curved, sword ends in a chisel point.  It is
perhaps one of the finest types of swords made.  Great care is taken in 
making the katana and the forging smith must labor long hours to achieve the
correct temper of the blade.  This one seems correctly made, as the blade is
light, well-balanced, and combines great strength with flexibility and
resilience.  Rather than decoration by etched designs or family lineages, a
simple tassel adorns the end of the hilt.
