This is a very sturdy broom with a substantial handle made of sanded and
sealed oak wood.  A good-sized bunch of specially coated pieces of straw are
bound securely to one end.  With the proper force and leverage behind it,
this broom seems strong enough to shove a person out of the way, as well as
anything else that gets underfoot.
