This odd plant has tall, tubular green leaves. The tips of the leaves pinch
in and curve to form a sort of lid over the hollow leaf interior. The
inside of the tube-shaped leaves is coated with slippery wax and downward
pointing hairs. The very bottom of the leaves hold water and the remains of
insects the plant has trapped and digested.
