This is a palm sized book bound in a dark green leather.

Flipping open the book one finds that it is a manual describing how
to properly use the "soulshatter" spell, which one can use to split
more powerful soulstones into smaller and less powerful stones.

A single casting upon a higher soulstone may shatter into a dozen or
more shards of lesser stones.
