Item description:

The thick cord of plasma glows reddish orange, close to the same color as
what you would expect in a neon sign.  It twists slowly through the air as in
a a death throe.  You manage to get ahold of it with some heavily padded
gloves, but even so it eventually becomes too hot to handle.  Anything
brought too close to it withers and flames, quickly melting or vaporizing.
