It looks like a smooth ball of stone, however it is much lighter than you
would expect were it made of solid rock.  The surface is translucent, and
it glows with a slowly moving internal fiery light.  Just touching it you
feel an immense amount of magical power stored within it, and you know
that it could be of use to almost any adept mage.
